2026 property tax bills: the dates that matter

Florida tax bills for 2026 go out in November. Paying early saves money; paying late starts a clock that can end at a tax deed sale. Here are the dates, from the statute and the Tax Collector.

The short answer

Florida property tax bills are mailed in November and due by March 31. Pay in November and you get a 4% discount, then 3% in December, 2% in January and 1% in February. Unpaid taxes go delinquent April 1, when 3% interest and advertising costs are added.

Where to pay

Already behind on an earlier year?

If last year’s or an older bill is still open, the clock is already running. Use the tax deed timeline tool to see where you are, and read the county guide for Pinellas or Hillsborough. If paying isn’t realistic, selling before an auction pays the taxes from the proceeds at closing.
